One of the best things about being a mother is watching my children learn something new. Recently they have learned to eat and finger paint the table with solid food (a work in process), splash water ( I might as well be in the bath), sit up and play together, take off one another's socks, pet the dogs, feed the dogs (we are tying to stop this one although Vern has really come to love cheerios and tofu), give kisses (i.e. lick your face) and play in the bathub. Here are some bath time highlights:

Addy birdwatching
The Greenwoods came to visit this weekend. What a treat. Sara and I lived togeather for four years in college and we do not get to see each other enough. I had not seen her son Dustin in years, never met her son Gavin, and she had never met my girls. Our husbands had not ever met, and hit it off really well. We spent time at the park, the farmers market, a rainy seafood festival, We ate good meals and even got a sitter and went out one night. I miss having her close but was gratful to have had such a wonderful weekend.

First swim lesson
Addy and Henry and their first swim lesson
The girls had their first swim lesson yesterday. we meet another set of girl/girl twins and our their friends Henry and Zoe from baby and me school. Henry's dad was nice enough to take some pictures for us. Addy took well to blowing bubbles and jumping in the on count of three. Morgan was alittle less impressed with all the instructions. She preferred to splash. The girls talked the whole way home and slept liked champs. We might have to go to swim class every night.

A New Plan
So the reason I have not posted in so long is that I can never find enough time to write all I have to say. Since life with twins is a big busy, time to share my experiences with you is replaced with more experiences. So here is my new plan. I am going to write less and post more often. Sometimes just a picture and if you are lucky a caption. For example, here are some pictures of Morgan, Addy and their friend Freyja on the swings for the first time ever.
